Description

Yohji Yamamoto Pour Homme Collection: Spring/Summer 2011 Item: HO-P45-980 Tag Size: 2 Composition: Cotton (100%), (rib is a cotton-poly blend) Made in Japan. These cotton pants are from Yohji Yamamoto's Spring/Summer 2011 Pour Homme collection. This style appeared across the runway show looks for the season (see photos). They are a modern take on and a reference to Georgian-era breeches, which were the dominant style of pants during the 17th and 18th centuries, from the late 1600s to the early 1800s. Breeches were usually worn with long socks. It was not until the 19th century that pants (trousers) replaced them as the dominant form of pants. The Georgian-era references extended in this season to other parts of the looks, including the cut of the jackets and to the styling of the hair (see photos). The waist stretches from 36 cm to 44 cm (14 ⅛” to 17 ⅜”), making these suitable for approximately US sizes 28 to 34. The top of the waistband is faded, and there are some scratchy patches of fabric. These are well-worn, though they are structurally sound, and all buttons are intact. Approximate Measurements: • Waist: 14 ⅛” (36 cm) • Inseam: 23 ¼” (59 cm) • Leg Opening: 5 ⅜” (13.5 cm) • Front Rise: 11 ⅜” (29 cm) • Thigh: 13” (33 cm) • Knee: 7 ⅞” (20 cm) Offers welcome.
