Space Hippie 04 "Be True"
Description
The Nike Space Hippie 04 “Be True” honors the LGBTQ community with colorful rainbow detailing throughout its design. The Space Hippie 04 is constructed from environmentally friendly materials affectionately called “space junk” by Nike. The concept stems from Nike’s “Move to Zero” initiative that aims to reduce the brand’s carbon footprint. On the “Be True” edition, iconography that nods to the Pride Flag is seen on the multicolor dotted Swoosh branding found on both sides and on the “Nike” detailing located on the heel tab. The shoe’s upper is composed of grey Recycled Space Yarn. The midsole displays a speckled design and is built from Nike’s Grind material. Underneath the midsole, reusable “space junk,” otherwise known as leftover scraps from Nike’s cutting room floor, appear on the outsole.
