The Nike Air Triax ‘96 “OG Royal” is an original colorway of the ‘90s performance runner that was re-released by Nike in December 2019. Famously worn by renowned sprinter Michael Johnson during the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, the Air Triax ‘96 has transcended its original purpose as a high performance running shoe to become favored as casual and timeless lifestyle options for all walks of life. Nike places crisp white leather overlays on the heel, eyelets, and toe to compliment the royal blue mesh found on the mid-panel, toe, and tongue. Black synthetic nubuck accenting is located on the forefoot and around the white leather panel with blue Swoosh embroidery on the mid-panel. Additional Swoosh branding appears on the toe and on the heel. A visible Air unit in the heel of the white foam midsole provides the wearer with a responsive ride. Release date: December 5, 2019.
