The Nike Air Huarache “Escape 2.0” is a remixed version of the outdoors-inspired look for the retro running shoe that was originally released in 2003. The original “Escape” returned in April 2021 as part of the Tinker Hatfield-designed Air Huarache’s 30th anniversary. In November 2021, Nike released the “Escape 2.0,” an updated version of the popular, non-original colorway. Like its predecessor, the “Escape 2.0” brings both a lifestyle and hiking/outdoors-adjacent look to the Air Huarache, though with a few modifications. The shoe features a white neoprene toe with contrasting suede Bison-colored panels on the toe cap, forefoot, eyelets, and collar. The shoe’s signature neoprene base is designed in black. An “Air Huarache” logo is found on the tongue, and red “Nike” branding appears on the black heel counter. Embossed “Air” branding is on the back of the white foam midsole. Overall, the “Escape 2.0” deviates from the original “Escape’s” beige, tan, and olive green color scheme in favor of brown and black accenting. Release date: November 1, 2021
